The snow has come early this year. We now have over 60cm's of settled snow at the lodge with up to a meter at tree line. Temperatures have been slightlty below average and ski freaks around here and to the south have already started to get freshies, no reports of face shots yet but if this keeps up it won't be long.
Sweet dreams of fat pow, it won't be long now....

Great Snow with more on the way!
A quick break in storms has given us a couple of great days of skiing in the alpine under bluebird skies with good skiing in sheltered areas. We managed to summit Urd peak on Dec 30, then back to the trees on the 30th to get some more face shots. The temps have remained reasonably cool with an expected slight warming trend throughout the week. Currently minus 3 c at the lodge with 15cm's overnight. Total depth of snowpack is 175cms at the lodge and well over 2.5 m at tree line an above!
